Wastewater purifying plant demo system (internship project)
Unity3D programmer July, 2013 ~ August, 2013
A web based virtual reality application to help users get familiar with the whole wastewater purifying process. The client of this project is Sinopec (the China Petroleum and Chemical Corporate).
What I did
-Built the basic interactive system and implemented functions that make Unity C# code communicate with the website JavaScript to get data from the back end and display them in the Unity application.
-Implemented occlusion culling and light mapping functions to optimize the performance of this application.
-Worked tightly with 3D artists to make sure all the art assets are optimized for Unity3D engine.
What I learned
-I have learned a lot about collabrations in the real working enviroment.
-I also learned a lot about how to effectively communicate with the application designer and artists.
